There are a number of reasons why your car battery may be drained, but we here at IAD Auto are here to provide you with the steps for how to charge your car battery.
-Power down your vehicle and all of its electronics.
-Remove the negative cabled, followed by the positive one. They should be clearly labeled.
-Clean away any debris or dust that is on your battery terminals.
-Connect your battery to your battery charger. The positive connection on your battery should hook to the positive terminal on the charger. The same goes for the negative charging cable.
-Turn your charger onto its lowest setting. This should also be the default setting.
-Allow the battery to charge fully.
-Do not disconnect your battery from the charger until the charger has been powered off. Then you can remove the cables and store them properly until the next time that you need them.
